“This year (2023) marks the 12ᵗʰ year of the College of Human Sciences Department of Consumer and Design Sciences' annual Fashion Event that is put on in partnership with the Auburn Apparel Merchandising & Design Association. Auburn AMDA's Fashion Event is one of the top college-level productions in the nation and represents a culmination of the CADS department's hard work. Auburn's CADS-AMDA Fashion Event is a true celebration of the talent present within Spidle Hall and the collective dedication to continually improving and excelling as a highly-ranked program. This years theme, The XIIᵗʰ Hour, nods to the 12th anniversary of the show and is a beautiful representation of the opposing people and ideas that continue to be brought together to find harmony in fashion. The show is a celebration of how we coexist between many different oppositions and bring them together through design to find newness, beauty, and hope. This year's Fashion Event is a beautiful representation of the rebirth and renewal the world is looking for as we move forward into uncertainty, but remain optimistic that there is beauty in the midst of turmoil.”
